Ros is Practice Director and Lead Partner in Ireland for Board Excellence. She is also a Non-Executive Director, with a portfolio including BlackRock’s flagship listed iShares range, having previously served on the boards of the Bank of Montreal Europe plc, Pieta House, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland and the Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital. Ros also lectures with UCD Smurfit Graduate Business School on corporate governance and organisational culture.

Previously Ros enjoyed a highly successful executive career with two FTSE100 companies: CRH plc, where she led a global team as Head of Group Compliance & Ethics, and Smurfit Kappa Group plc, where she held a number of senior roles including Group Tax Manager, Vice President E-Business and Executive Assistant to Chairman & CEO, Sir Michael Smurfit.

Ros has first class honours bachelor and masters degrees in business from UCD and a Professional Diploma in Corporate Governance.

She is an associate of the Institute of Tax and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, having trained with PwC, and is a Certified Bank Director. She is also a graduate of the “Value Creation through Effective Boards” and the “Building Organisational Cultures: A Framework for Leaders” programmes at Harvard Business School. Furthermore, Ros is the author of the book, “Leading with Integrity – a Practical Guide to Business Ethics” and is a regular contributor to news and print media on related topics.
